Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

Hey Everyone,

It was a great day today, my Tuesday, to work out with my lovign wife. We did Tuesday's WOD. my thrusters were 52kg hers scaled to 27kg.

We both got 4 full rounds and the 5th round was complete for us both finishing with the knees to elbows. We did a great finisher of her choice and had a great time training.

Cheers
Cody

Hi guys,

Last night I had the pleasure of training with the Crossfit Auckland Crew. Brutal.

"Monty" 40-30-20 reps for time:

Wall Ball 10/5kg
Pull-Up
Split/Push Jerk 30/20kg
Double Unders

Rxd 19'53 with Pukie standing on the sideline!

Saturday 0830 crew - I'll be back training regularly again with you soon! I miss training with you guys.

Maddog - hows the muscle up - are you on the board yet??!

Matt - hot / cold recovery showers are not fun when it's 2 degrees outside and the bathrooms not much warmer!!

Train hard and see you soon.

Hey Rach!
Sounds like you had a good night! Haha
I'm back home now in TSV and am a bit crook so I'm just gonna take it easy this week. The weather here is soooo nice.

Not on board with the muscle up yet, but I heard that Blythe got one on Tuesday... GO U GOOD THING!!! Blythe, I'm back on the 30th June for 6 days so you will have to tell me all about it and give me all your tips. Congrats mate :)

Bel, How are your kipping pulls coming along?

Hope you are all behaving yourselves at CFB :P

Danny M

Good work Miles, sorry,I thought I had typed pb on the end. Obviously not.
Anna, 51 is a good effort, extra points for the shoes!!
Danny.

Miles

No worries - Thanks Danny

Blythe

Beautiful Maddog,

It's a lie, I didn't get it. APPARENTLY, you have to start from a hang- feet OFF the ground to start- for it to count, and I started from standing :( Also, I pulled through with one arm before the other, so it really doesn't count.
Never mind, it's closer!!
Miss you here. Hope you get some relaxing time once you get over feeling crook.

Crossfit Staff, I'm LOVING the motivational videos. Thanks for the effort.

:)

Matt

For clarification, for a muscleup to count you must start from hang with both elbows coming through at the same time, and completing at full lockout at the top of the dip before returning to the starting position with hands remaining on the rings throughout.

Blythe's effort was superb and very close but does not count.

Bel

Hey Maddog

Still working on the kipping pulls. I will let you know when I get one :-)
I will try to come to some lunch time sessions when you are back since I will be on holidays.
Have a fun time away.
