Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

The only point of contention that has been raised in regard to the artwork on Matt's back - people are pretty sure that he is not funnier than Danny - sorry guys .... the rest must be true!!!

Blythe

Doesn't say anything about Rob...is it just accepted that he reigns supreme?

Mon

Thank you, I will get it, just practicing for Thursday :) The threat of 150 Burpees is very motivating!

Steve Willis finished 4th at the games. Awesome result!

Cassius

The Aussie Battler does indeed reign supreme, but as the under dog, its just his way.......

Congrats to Steve!! You did the country proud!!!

Brad

Ah I just realised I wrote on the board that I completed the workout rxd which is a mistake. I counted attempts at double unders so that Danny didnt have to time me with a calender.

Sorry about that, wasnt thinking straight after 18 minutes of whiping my feet with the rope this morning :-)

I am really bad at double unders! Andy Mac made a comment about me having to do them individually at the end, to which I replied, "I was doing them individually at the beginning!"

But I can feel better that I got my first muscle up after the workout!!!

I wouldn't argue with Rob reigning supreme - he spilt the most blood! Awesome display using a weight that was a PB single before he started (same for Jonnie)!

Liz

Karel that's super! Well done! And I imagine you've practiced the muscle ups a whole lot more than the double unders (the flicking rope is a real disincentive).

It felt really good to do some double unders without tearing something ....although my throat does feel a little ripped :)
