Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

Cody Lee Johsnon

hey everyone,

Today was my last duty day as a Senior Drill Instructor. I modified the Tuesday WOD with 2 20kg dumbells for the DL's. Started with 3,3,3 slow for form since recovering from two weeks ago improper warm up for heavy DL's. Then the WOD in 9:18secs. Great WOD. Wanted more weight, but did with what I had. Tomorrow A.M. I tackle Wednesday's WOD with my wife. Great stuff CFB.

Cody Lee Johsnon

Hey all,

Did a motivating WOD for Tuesday with wife and two of her Marines.

I completed 4rounds and finished the 5th with 8 knees to elbows. Was trying to help coach at the same time. They all did great too. 4-5 rounds for each.

Take care

Cody

Cassius

It's hard to coach and participate, my hats off to you Cody!
