Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

Cody

Hey all,

Did Wednesday's WOD in 4:57. That was awesome. Looks like Thursday is going to be a blast. I will be taking Friday off and doing some light work that day. Saturday and Sunday will be resting as well. I have a CFT(Combat Fitness Test) for the Marine Corps Monday. I will be using that for my WOD. I'll let you know the details of the CFT when I complete it.

Cheers

Cody

Correction to my entry. I read the WOD wrong and did push press instead of push jerk. I'll have to hit some push jerks and burpees to pay for the mistake. Take care.

Brad

The only thing everyone should read into my WOD time today is that I was enjoying the workout so much I never wanted it to end!!!

Liz

Thanks Mon! I am looking forward to it :-)

Lisa I've left the next three books at the front desk for you to read - plan on coming in tomorrow, but then I planned on coming in every morning this week...

BTW, Cody I would think that push press is harder than push jerk and therefore you wouldn't need to do extra - though I like the crossfit 'tude ;-) Good luck for your test on Monday.

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That WOD was awesome!!!!!!!
More Double Unders! There is never enough

Crazyrazy Ross

Thanks for everyone supporting and encouraging me

Well,, I was very happy with my result.

That was unbelievable. when i did wod till the first 5 rounds,

I never stopped, I just pushed and smashed myself continuosly and then that did work.

I think I am getting better and better for improving my strength and endurance for crossfit.

I would like to say all trainers and all CFBers.

I am really crazy 'bout Crossfit.

Cheers!!

Bill S

Unfortunately I couldn't make it in for today's WOD......long story.

But I did manage to play 2 games of Touch Rugby League (TRL) tonight in a weekly comp out at Graceville and it was quite enjoyable...it's obviously a mix of touch footy and rugby league rules and I did notice my fitness held up very well thanks to CrossFit!!

Crazy Ross, awesome time bro!!!

Blythe

Crazy Ross, you rock.
Rachel, all I can say is, I hope the powers-that-be punish you with loads of WODs with pushups in them for that inane comment.
Only kidding, chick. I WILL conquer these double unders (maybe).

Rach W

Haaahaa!! Gee Thanks Blythe!!!

With all the running *meh* and pushups *meh* and pullups *double meh* that we have had the last few weeks, when i saw Double Unders I did the DANCE OF JOY!!!!!

Im aiming for sub 10mins next time around.... GO FASTER!!! heehehe

You will definitely get your double unders. It may take a fair bit of whipping but eventually you learn to lift your feet and spin that rope!!!! LOL
