Hey guys! Today I went to CrossFit Las Vegas and experienced "Cindy" and I was the only girl and the rest were Luke firemen and policemen. Haha. The guys there were very nice though :)
3 x 10 minute rounds each round being 10 x 1 minute of:
5x pull ups (I did jumping. First round I did with the band but sucked)
10x push ups (I did it on my knees)
15x air squats
only completed rounds within that minute counted and after the round there was a 2 minute break. I did a total of 20 reps: round 1 was 8, round 2 was 7, round 3 was 5

That was such an inspirational video. It's amazing what people can achieve when they believe in themselves and have goals to strive for.

Nothing like starting the morning with a good bawl. Thanks for the video.
Miles, congratulations on your photo win! I clicked on it to see it enlarged, but it came up as the 3rd place winner's photo, might want to email them about that.
Happy Birthday Lisa!!!

Welcome back Danny. I can't claim rxd this morning as i was on the 20" box. Happy to finish the 7 rounds before c/o though. And we know that like a fine wine our Iron Maiden just improves with age... Happy Birthday Lisa!!!

Congratulation Miles on your win! Great photo.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!
OMG...how aweful was that!! That was truely a goat work out for me, and it was only stubborn pride that had me fall over the line before the cut off. I have to admit that I took a walk out the front expecting to go green....but not today :-)
Does that prove that powerlifters can run? Or does it prove that even ex powerlifters can learn how to run?
In any case, and despite the aweful pain, for me to be able to complete a workout with hundreds of reps and 7 rounds of running before cut off is a pretty big achievement, a great improvement and therefore a wonderful birthday gift. Thank you.
Off to have some very non paleo cake & champagne.
IM
PS Great pic Miles.

My ability to suck in these kind of workouts knows no bounds!!!! I really have to get out of the mindset that longer workouts arent a stroll until you guys call time

Edwin T 24.59 Rxd
I was really hoping to pull something sub 22 on this WOD but once again much tougher than I expected. So glad it was only 15 box jumps not 16 cause Pukey was rearing his ugly head by the end.
Top job Miles, nothing more rewarding than your peers recognizing your outstanding contribution to the sport.

As much I would love to take the 14:53, it was actually 19:53! And it hurt the whole time!
That was a fantastic effort by Anna this morning!
I hope everyone has fun tonight!

Oh so unfair - I'm sick and keep reading the WOD's and get sad because i'm missing them :( So am I going mental that i actually am sad that i'm missing these sessions? I think that's a yes.
So - question - I have extremely bad hayfever and a terrible cough to match - is it best to FULLY recover before I make it back to training???? OR can i be confident to train once this cough calms down??? Any Advice welcome....

Posted by: Scotty A | September 29, 2009 at 08:00 PM
I thought today's wod was as many rounds as possible I could.
I was very stupid!! I could have done more faster if i aimed for 7 rounds.
I hate to go to work early in the morning, because of that kind of stupid thing I made.
have a good night guys,
I am going to work soon.
Peace out!
