Looks like Friday is going to be fun. We have our Marine Corps Ball tomorrow night in Savanna, Georgia. It's going to be a good time before the weekend.
Today, Thursday did the snatch WOD.
Stayed with 60kg for 6 of the 7 sets of 3 then moved up to 70kg and had a go. I don't count it as a triple, but afte the first fail, I had to give the weight a go again, it was all mental. I got it and then tried again, and got it again. This was a PB for me passing 60kg. I think if I had had the confidence in the lift, I could have gotten a triple out of it, but it was great to get 70kg snatched for the first time.
Have a great Weekend CFB

Was great to avoid the pike PU this morning. Keeping form in the HSPU was tough when I was gassed - thanks Chris for your patient coaching. I was listening and will practice breath control and kicking up from a controlled position for next time.
Have just registered for Crossfit Coastal's "clash on the coast" and encourage everyone else to come along and compete and/or volunteer too. They are absolutely awesome events, and you learn alot about yourself as well as meet and get to know other crossfitters. I'm off to Newcastle for their games tomorrow and can't wait :-)

Totally enjoyed Daine this morning..........except those pesky Pike PU!! just reminds me of how unflexible I am and how much further I've got to go!! oh well more room for better results thats a good thing right???????? of course.
Andy Mc thanks for the reading on the joys of ownership, how true it is and how often we forget the simple things that permeate in all areas of our life not just training!!
Have a good weekend all.
Cheers

It was great to experience hand stand push-ups in the workout for the first time.
Not quite up to the standards just yet, but that will come with practice :-).
Liz, Virgil, Roger and Dominic - good luck in Newcastle!!!

This is really wierd (and sad now that I think about it)! I had a dream last night of doing a DL and handstand workout today. I don't know how to feel now that I'm dreaming of CF.

Hi Guys,
Great to see some of the CrossFit Brisbane crew already signed up for 'Clash on the Coast'. Let me reassure you that this day is aimed at ALL CrossFitters and we would love to see plenty of athletes from CFB come up and battle it out for the title of 'Fittest on the Coast'. We have some great prizes lined up and it's not often that you get to compete without having to travel interstate.
Chris, Marie and Drummond.

Sorry, forgot to put my info up on the board. I did 55kg DL and 1 abmat HSPUs.
It was AWESOME having Chris at the HSPU station. His encouragement and advice were really helpful, and it was great to have someone watching our form the whole way through for the gymnastics movements while Matt and Danny oversaw the deadlifting form. I feel like I kept form better with Chris overseeing, though it is HARD!! I'm asking Santa for a core of steel for Christmas.
