Getting Started

  • Starting is really easy ... you do not need to be fit or know anything about CrossFit.

Step 1 is to click on "Want to Start", or give us a call or drop us an email to let us know that you are interested,

Step 2 is once you have registered we will call you and discuss a time to book you in for your first Intro session.

Step 3 is to complete your intro sessions and then join the group sessions when you are ready.

If you are new to CrossFit, we will take it easy at the beginning and hold back the intensity until you get used to the training. Our experienced coaches will adapt the program to your individual circumstance, taking into account any injuries and your current level of conditioning.

All you need is a positive attitude. There are no excuses, get started today!

Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

Christina Van Der Hulst

AWESOME! Matt I wish I could compete with you guys.......instead I will be at the sectionals being held in Huntsville, Alabama.
Next weekend we have a "mini games" in Woodstock, Georgia...they have mixed in elements of the 09 Games, Day 1 is a sandbag carry (for advance women) 80# up hill, 10 sandbag cleans, back down hill and then 20 x 205# DL; a 6k trail run; AMRAP in 12 minutes: 10 wall balls, 120 m run, 10 x KB 1.5 pood, 120 m run) Oh it is going to be fun!
Training has been hit and miss over here as I landed a new job so I have had to focus on that for a while. So the New Year has been tough trying to get get my strength and fitness back. My O'lifts are still not very clean, but I still remember all the pointers you gave me last year. So now I have time I hope to see an improvement!
Well I miss training with you guys.
Be good

Hi Matt

When i registered it asked me to specify a spectator - will only registered spectators be allowed to watch, as i was hoping to ask a few other people to come and watch me suffer :)

Thanks Miles

CrazyRoss

I did register it for ages ago.

No matter how fit you are, just enjoy the game.

It is gonna be fun.

Fire up, guys!

liz

Miles, anyone can register as a spectator, but you only get 1 freebie per competitor. Everyone else will need to pay $50 spectator fee to watch. I understand that this money is used to help run all the events as well as all the coordination for the big games in Aromas (Matt, please correct me if I've misrepresented here).

I really hope that everyone enters the sectional to have a go. It would be fantastic to have a bigger event than the Hard'n'Up challenge. Let's show the other States and affiliates how it is done :-)

Virgil, Roger, Dominic and I all did four workouts in Newcastle last year in one day. None of us are top end crossfitters and we survived. As Matt says you can scale the workouts.

I love being part of the crossfit community and hope that you'll all join me in competing and supporting this wonderful event as well as the CFB team who are expending an enormous effort in organising and hosting it.

Liz
