Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

Cassius

Oh Boy I am looking forward to this one! I know I am going to do waaaay better than last time!

Sharif

I remember Danny doing something like this when I first started last year but it was 75 thrusters and every time you put down the bar it was the 3 burpee 3 KTE buy in and it looked horrible

Jodie

Starting to hurt already... You boys are mean!!

Gerard

Well that was interesting. In the first minute I did 3 burpees and 20 thrusters. After that i struggled to average 3 thrusters a minute.

Great work to all that completed RXD & those that scaled!! A real mind bender for me this morning where pukie took a momentary visit but I forced him back down!! I also think that was where my heart rate was @ 218bpm and it was only the 12min mark. I was destroyed at the end and devastated to be cut off at then end at 92Thrst @ 30kg!! I'm still going thru the WOD thinking "If Only I did 1 more here didn't skip there!!" But hey thats life and it probably would of been a further 4min to make 100!!!
Thank God I work in an office today!!!

Glen

Well done to Mon this morning. She toughed it out until the cut-off. I only caught her last few rounds but every burpee and KTE I saw were quality movements.

Virtuosity!!

liz

If it's any help for afternoon folk, I tackled this as a gymnastics workout so I could focus on K2E and burpees which are a real weakness. 30kg thrusters were fine for me, but I often had less than 10 seconds to lift the bar and complete them, and there were several minutes where I barely finished the K2E before the bell went. It was an absolute slog, but I could not have gone any harder, and there were several "give up" moments. Thanks to Rachel for your support at the end!

Mon

Thanks Glen, I must admit i was a bit of a "wuss" this morning, not going rxd and just making it through the burpees and knees to elbows before some of the minutes were up..... but i'll learn from it! I need to work on my speed or just not rest as much!

Well done on the one arm thrusters nice work !

Craig - forgot to start the watch this morning. Very disappointed. Excellent workout, loved it. Worked out with the new owner of Crossfit Ipswich (soon to open). He watched me do the last 20 thrusters :(

Miles

Andrew White - I was training next to you this morning and you were giving it 200% well done - you really showed awesome toughness and courage right to the end - great work !

On the other hand I had major softness this morning with this wod !

Ged I know the feeling, first round was awesome and second round was okay and it was threes and twos after that I had a round where I only managed one thruster out but my plan of attack was never to have a round where I didn't get at least one thruster out and that keeps you on task.

Tiff

Trained with Crossfit Sunshine Coast today, thanks heaps to Lee for tailoring a wod for me!!!
AMRAP 20 min
