We had 82 Athletes register for the Open this year. Congratulations to all who made it all the way through.
We have a lot of people to thank in making it such a great even this year.
First up, our coaching staff Kelsey and Alana, who put in over-time each Saturday to ensure that the heats ran seamlessly and the standards were upheld. Thanks also to Mayar who is responsible for many of the beautiful action photographs that you are now seeing on our website - hidden talents!
We are also incredibly proud of, and grateful to, all the CFB members who completed their judging course and helped each week. We wish there was an award for the gym with the highest number of judges as we think we would be in the running! This proclaims loudly that our community is ready and willing to step up for their team mates to share the load and make someone else's job easier. Special mention to our members who were unable to compete, but turned up to judge each week - Kate T, John H, Robyn B, Rob H, Stu D, KJ, and Rhi. Finally, to Daz, Jimmy, and Rob, who regularly judged our video submissions, your performance under pressure was outstanding
A huge thank-you goes to Sue Shaw for putting the catering for the barbecue together for 16.5. Sue did a wonderful job feeding us and managing the barbecue all evening.
Finally thanks goes to all the family and friends who came to support us, and to you, our Athletes, who did such a magnificent job each week with your effort and your sportsmanship.
We had some great results including:
Brandon - 14th Australian Men
Loz - 50th Australian Women
Leanne H - 111th World-wide 60+ Women
Tim H - 155th World-wide 60+ Men
Leanne and Tim are both eligible to contest the Masters Regionals on the 23rd and 24th of April. We congratulate them and look forward to supporting them through this next event.
Thanks to all, and we look forward to the Regionals of the CrossFit Games 2016!
