Due to maternity leave, a position has opened at CrossFit Brisbane for a Casual CrossFit Trainer. CrossFit Brisbane affiliated in 2006 and is committed to providing a high standard of service to our clients. We are looking for a motivated and energetic trainer to join our team. Casual Trainer, 10 - 15 hours per week
Opportunity to build a Personal Training client base if desired
Level 1 CrossFit Certificate (CF-L1)
Level 2 CrossFit Certificate (CF-L2)
Senior First Aid (or Workplace Level 2 or Apply First Aid)
Cert III and Cert IV in Fitness (if interested in Personal Training)
Certified CrossFit Trainer (CF-L3)
Must have previous experience coaching in an Affiliate environment
This is NOT a trainee or intern position
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent Team skills
Competent report writing and basic admin skills
Good organisation and time management skills
Ability to take feedback and adjust accordingly
Commitment to ongoing education
Please note that the position requires the ability to work early mornings and/or evenings

Crossfit Brisbane Crew!!!
This week is the last week of the open and as promised we are having a little SHINDIG!
Friday Night Lights will run as it has the past 4 weeks, briefing at 5pm and heats starting around 5:30pm. As you warm up and compete the amazing people at The Golden Roast will be cooking up a storm of delicious slow cooked beef and pork. There will be salads, bread rolls and wraps and condiments buffet style to build your meal from. Food will be available from 6:30pm until 9pm. Please BYO drinks, Crossfit Brisbane will have some beers on offer as well!
WHAT: The Golden Roast [food van]- slow cooked beef and pork + salads + breads + condiments, buffet style.
WHEN & WHERE: From 6:30pm- 9pm, this Friday the 23rd March at Crossfit Brisbane
WHO: Everyone is welcome! Come to compete or just to hang out and support.
COST: $20 per person. Children 4-10 years old are ½ price ($10).
DRINKS: CFB will have some beers on offer, if you would like anything else please BYO (but if you are competing remember to hydrate with water first!)

A competition that runs for 5 weeks, with one workout per week.
It is held all around the world at local CrossFit Boxes, with everyone completing the same workout
The workout has scaled divisions for beginners, and also has Master’s and Teenage categories
It is for EVERYONE
You get a World Ranking, it’s really cool, it’s heaps of fun
Friday Night Lights
CFB will run the Open on Friday night from 5pm. Commencing Feb 23rd for 5 weeks
Alternate times can be arranged every week! Just let Wendy know what you need.
Early or late heat times can be organised
Monday at 7am, 8am and 7pm will be available as alternate times
You can also ask for other arrangements
There will be NO CLASSES running on Friday nights. If you want to train Friday afternoon you can! BUT you will be doing the Open workout and will be allocated to a heat. You will need to be on the heat list to get a start, regardless of whether you are registered or not. You can still request a specific heat time if you are not registered.
There will be a sign up sheet at Reception for any non-registered members to join in the fun on Friday nights. Registered athletes only need to notify Wendy if they are NOT competing on Friday night, and the alternate time will be booked in.
Class WARS of 2018 - May the fittest Class win!
This year we will have an Internal Comp between the classes at CFB. Do all your official sign up at https://games.crossfit.com/register/athlete ,then at the gym, declare the class you represent! The board near the reception desk will have the Class Team lists. Once the Open starts, you cannot change your team. If you train in different classes, declare for the class which reflects YOU the most.
Each week the ‘Class’ leaderboard will be updated. The scoring system will be similar to the system used for the Affiliate Teams. Loz is our Class Team head judge and she will keep you updated with all the scores and information. **Class names and uniforms are encouraged and remember… your classes reputation is on the line!

Set Up Crew - Friday afternoon from 3pm
Layout equipment and set up the room
Competent rep counter, and MUST have watched the workout standards video for that week
You do not need to have passed the Judges course THIS year. If you have judged in previous years you are good to go.
If you would like to learn to judge, let us know. We will give you experience with someone helping you.
End of OPEN Shindig -
Friday, 23rd of March, celebrate with food and drinks and a chance to chill and catch up with your sweaty mates. Further details of this event will come closer to the date.
