CrossFit Brisbane (CFB) was established in 2006 by Matt & Wendy Swift. It was the first legitimate CrossFit gym in Brisbane and has been foundational in developing CrossFit in Australia. Many trainers and affiliate owners have been trained in the gym, and one way or another every CrossFit gym in the Brisbane area can be traced back to CFB. At the end of 2019, we took on the business with the vision to honour the legacy of CrossFit Brisbane, but with a new found energy.
Located at 47 Clarence St, Coorparoo, our gym is a 100% purpose built CrossFit training facility. We have 750 square metres of space, 100m of pull-up bars, Olympic lifting platforms, bars, bumpers, kettlebells, medicine balls, dumbbells, rings and many other CrossFit toys! The environment is different to a commercial gym. We have chalk, we make noise, we know everyone by name, we sweat, we strain, we laugh and we train hard. We have a very social membership base and it is a great place to be a part of.
The training is hard and uncompromising, but you will be in the best shape of your life! The group environment is competitive but friendly, and will push you to perform at your best. Put simply, CrossFit is a training system that prepares you for whatever life can throw at you. Workouts are short & intense, and incorporate elements of gymnastics, olympic weightlifting, rowing, track, bodyweight calisthenics and circuit training.
